A niiiiiiiiicccee mellow top end that certainly never gets too bright and never gets too dark. It's like Goldilocks hanging out with Donovan listening to a certain song on the White Album that refers to the middle of the road. The biggest deal with this one is the short scale length. The dreadnaught body is still full size, but coupled with the short scale length makes it really nice for some smaller players that aren't necessarily into smaller guitars. There's no such thing as small chords, just small guitarists. This guitar also has the always spectacular forward shifted bracing that is also scalloped. Whoa whoa that was like a 1-2 punch of awesomeness. All that means is the guitar is going to have the great broken in tone brand new right out of the box. They finished the top with an aging toner that gives it that mellow yellow color. Mellow looks, mellow sound--you know this guitar is smoother than Michael McDonald and Kenny Loggins hanging out.
