We've been selling Rick Turner guitars at the Fret House for quite a while now and we've got to say that Rick (and I can call him by his first name because I know him :) builds amazing guitars. He understands the demands of the player and of the stage. He built the Model 1 specifically for Fleetwood Mac guitarist/singer/songwriter and solo artist Lindsey Buckingham. Buckingham liked finger-picking, but was unsatisfied with his Les Paul. So Rick created the ultimate electric guitar for finger-picking. It's still does the great open chords great, but it's a whole other side to an electric guitar previously unknown.

We had the bright idea of having our own custom version of the Model 1. It features a satin finish. Active electronics and active semi-parametric EQ. We decided not to include the piezo system because we felt that the guitar in cleaner settings has such great acoustic tones coming through already that adding more acoustic tones would just make it redundant and is more likely to muddy the sound. Most likely you won't be able to split the signal and run into an electric amp and an acoustic amp or p.a. It still has a great chambered mahogany body, 24 frets, 24 3/4" scale length, and the Schaller Tuneomatic Roller Bridge.

This is a pretty spectacular instrument and a spectacular shop waiting for a spectacular player like you.
